~FOOTPRINTS FURTHER DOWN THE BEACH~

You and God are walking along the beach. His footprints appear steady rarelyvarying in pace. Your prints are a disorganized stream of zig zags, starts,stops, turnarounds, circles, departures, and returns. The path looks this way for quite a while. Gradually, your footprints comein line with God's & soon parallel His, consistently. You are walking astrue friends & this seems perfect. Then an interesting thing happens; yourfootprints which once etched the sand next to God's are walking precisely inHis steps. Within His larger footprints you see your smaller "sandprints" asyou and God are becoming One - this goes on for many miles. Then graduallyyou notice another change. The traces of your sandprints are no longervisible. You've merged & become one Traveler. The path continues in this way for a while. Then something startling occurs.Your original footprints are back and more erratic than before. Zig zagsall over the place...an amazing & shocking mess! Stops...starts...deepergashes in the sand... Nervously you ask God if you've regressed since thefootprints indicate separation - and this time it's obviously much worse. "God smiles, winks and then laughs, "relax & enjoy ... itlooks that way because we're dancing."
