Richard and Michelle came to us in June of 2003 from Ullin Illinois. Michelle still teaches 5th & 6th grade at Century in Ullin. They have 2 daughters; Jessica and Cassandra. Rich and Michelle are going to be grandparents in mid September. Jessica & Josh are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Their Son Bryce. A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR: We welcome everyone to share in the message of Jesus Christ. Here at Simpson Baptist Church we are a family growing in our faith and serving Christ and our neighbor. While we worship together we do so in an atmosphere of love. In that short paragraph above, a whole volume has been revealed about who we are and why we do what we do. We exist to offer worship to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and help others to come to experience Him in a manner that is real and personal. Our main goals are to be obedient to the Great Commission ( Matthew 28:19-20) and the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-40). We are Christians who have been called to service and to love. "Lord God, help us to remember to give thanks to You in all things and help us to maintain an attitude of prayer. Build in us a strong faith in You and a love for all the saints. Fill us with the knowledge of Your word and will in all areas of our lives. Help us to bear fruit daily in the work we do and strengthen us with Your power that we might have endurance and patience. Help us to always remember that as believers we have been delivered from the darkness and brought to the wonderful light of our Savior Jesus Christ. Create in us a good discipline and stability of faith. Thank You, Lord, that through Your Son we have been made complete. We celebrate You! In Jesus' name". Amen. |
